Qualifications
Borescope Experience:
- Over 18 years Borescope experience on range of gas turbine engines
- Routine hot section combustor/turbine inspection
- Birdstrike inspection
- End of lease video scope inspection
- Flexi scope inspection V2500 BOAS, GE90 HPT1 blade shroud and RB211 HPC1 blade lining
- GE90 W-Seal material removal and inspection
- Use Olympus rigid optical borescopes and the IPLEX FX and Everest XLGO video scopes with measuring features
- Developed and delivered one and two day borescope training packages for the Air New Zealand Training school.
Qualifications
- Visual Testing Level 2
Australian Institute for Non-Destructive Testing (AINDT), License 4874
- FAA: Mechanic licence
- Ratings: Airframe, PowerPlant
- NZCAA: Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Licence
- New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA).
- Aeronautical Non Destructive Testing:
- Unit standard 4089 Carry out NDT inspections using optically-aided methods
- Unit standard 4096 Evaluate and interpret test indications found using
- Optically-aided NDT methods
- National Diploma in Aeronautical Maintenance Certification
- National Certificate in First Line Management
